Esiste sempre un’ interazione tra i lavori di Shlomo e l’ambiente.

 

Nel volume pubblicato in occasione di questa mostra è raccolta la testimonianza di questo fugace 

 

movimento legato a luoghi inattesi.

 

La percezione dell’opera  muta costantemente attraverso lo scambio con il paesaggio. La 

 

metamorfosi della materia, il rapporto con la luce,la forma ed il movimento, riflettono 

 

metaforicamente l’unicità dell’istante che coglie di sorpresa, come se nel suo mutare diventasse 

 

fuggevole.

 

Primario ed istintivo nell’espressione e nella manualità attraverso la materia ci rapporta alla 

 

contemporaneità ed alle nostre origini con una tecnica di esecuzione arcaica.

 

Il suo lavoro nasce da una necessità fisica ed istintiva di confrontarsi con territori e dimensioni 

 

audaci per un uomo solo. Il talento, senza confini territoriali, dissemina ovunque nel mondo il 

 

segno del suo passaggio  prendendo le citta’ come luoghi da  indagare e, accondiscendendo allo 

 

scambio, le foto  colgono l’attimo e bloccano il tempo  rendendo presente il rapporto interattivo 

 

del suo lavoro con il paesaggio circostante. 

 

La sua sensibilità contrasta con la tecnica di esecuzione primaria, la finalità non è l’uso ma 

 

l’annullamento della materia come tale, facendo trasparire l’aspetto più profondo del suo lavoro 

 

fatto di luce, in contrasto con il suo passato vissuto in una terra di confine dove la vita ti insegna a 

 

convivere con l’incertezza del momento, dove  pace e  sopravvivenza non sono scontate. In questa 

 

contorsione della materia, in questo modo antico del costruire c’è un grande sogno di speranza 

 

che svela solo alla fine una realtà che di fisico non ha più niente, il metallo diventa trasparente e 

 

leggero invadendo tutto con la luce, luce riflessa, fino a rivelare il suo senso estetico puro e 

 

profondo.

There is constant interaction between Shlomo’s work and the environment.

 

The exhibition , and  the book, contain the evidence of this elusive movement, linked to 

 

unexpected locales.

 

The perception of the work changes constantly through an interaction with the surrounding 

 

landscape. The metamorphosis of matter, the relationship with light, shape and movement 

 

metaphorically reflects the singularity of the moment that takes us by surprise, becoming hard to 

 

pin down.

 

Basic and instinctive in expression and manufacture, the material links the work to the present 

 

and the archaic technique used recalls our origins.

 

His work stems from a physical and instinctive need to tackle territories and dimensions that are 

 

daunting for a single individual. His boundless talent leaves signs of his passage throughout the 

 

world, taking cities as places to investigate and, in consenting to the exchange, the photographs 

 

seize the moment and freeze time, bringing the interactive relationship between his work and the 

 

surrounding environment into the present. 

 

His sensitivity clashes with the basic execution: the purpose is not the function, but the 

 

elimination of matter as such, letting the most profound essence of his work shine through, in 

 

contrast with his past, spent in a border zone where life teaches you to expect the unexpected, 

 

where peace and survival cannot be taken for granted. In this contortion of matter, this archaic 

 

way of creating, there is a beautiful dream of hope, which in the end reveals a reality that is 

 

impalpable physically where metal becomes light and transparent and everything is suffused by 

 

reflected light, until it discloses its purest and deepest esthetic essence.
